About us

STL Training Ltd have been providing legal clerks to solicitors for over 15 years and to over 200 firms both within and  outside of London.

We have clerks to cover all aspects of law including:

  • Civil
  • Criminal
  • Immigration

The majority of our clerks are either LPC / BVC graduates or level 2 & 3 undergraduates and can be booked in advance
or at short notice, subject to availability.

We have taken a professional approach in training our clerks to a standard that will ensure your firm is represented in a 
professional manner at court.

On the first day of the Course you will be required to bring with you : 
Two passport photographs
Two forms of Identification i.e. (Passport, Driving licence etc)
Confirmation of address i.e. utility bill
       Course Structure
The Courses have been designed to offer students an understanding of legal procedures and practices, as well as practical experience in carrying out the tasks involved gained from both classroom exercises and the opportunity to attend Court, as well as assistance in finding employment on its completion.

Each course focuses on a particular area of law and it’s role and can be taken on its own, or you can take two or more courses to build your knowledge and enhance your career opportunities.

The courses are also open to those without a law degree or legal experience. Some legal terminology will be used and our manual provides a useful glossary which explains the meaning of these terms.  The ideal candidate would be professional, organised, good at handling people in stressful situations, with good writing skills and have a good eye for detail.
